Kelli Karczewski began her legal career in 1992 as an Assistant Attorney General with the Texas Attorney General’s office where she represented state agencies and universities in defense of civil rights and employment discrimination litigation. Her school law career began in 1994 when she joined the law firm of Schwartz & Eichelbaum, P.C. representing public school districts across the state, large and small. Ms. Karczewski remained at Schwartz & Eichelbaum for 13 years, having opened and managed both a San Angelo and Nacogdoches office for the Firm. Ms. Karczewski joined Feldman, Rogers, Morris & Grover, L.L.P. in January 2006 as a partner in charge of their newly formed East Texas office. In June, 2009, Ms. Karczewski and Miles T. Bradshaw (also a school law veteran and former partner with FRMG) formed Karczewski│Bradshaw, L.L.P. where they continue to bring their school law expertise to rural Texas. Ms. Karczewski is a frequent speaker at school law conferences and conducts numerous trainings for school districts, educational service centers, educational organizations and associations.
Ms. Karczewski obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Indianapolis and completed her legal education with a J.D. from the Thomas Cooley Law School. She is married to husband, Tim, and has three children, Hailey, Jacek and Reagan.

Miles T. Bradshaw

Miles Bradshaw has practiced in the area of education law since 1993. Mr. Bradshaw served as General Counsel for Houston Community College System and served the Houston Independent School District for six years as Assistant General Counsel and Senior Assistant General Counsel. He was a partner with Feldman, Rogers, Morris & Grover, LLP where he practiced from 2002 to 2009. In June, 2009, Mr. Bradshaw and Kelli Karczewski formed Karczewski│Bradshaw, L.L.P. where they continue to bring their school law expertise to rural Texas. Mr. Bradshaw is a past President of the State Bar of Texas School Law SEction and President of the Texas Association of Community College Attorneys. Mr. Bradshaw serves on the TASB Legal Assistance Fund Board, and is the Council of School Attorneys First Vice President. Mr. Bradshaw is also a frequent speaker at education law conferences and seminars for educators and attorneys. Mr. Bradshaw obtained his Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and completed his legal education with a Juris Doctorate from the South Texas College of Law.

Sierra is a long-term resident of East Texas, growing up in Buna. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010 with a degree in Government and Communications, after which, she began working in education policy at the Texas House of Representatives. At the conclusion of the 82nd Legislative Session, Sierra left Austin to attend Texas Tech School of Law where she served as a comment editor for the Administrative Law Journal and represented Tech Law on four national mock trial teams. Sierra graduated Magna Cum Lauda from Tech Law and was inducted into the National Order of the Barristers in 2014. Working in education law and policy since 2009, Sierra has joined the firm as an Associate in the Beaumont office where she current lives with her husband, Jefferson.

Blaire B. Craven
Blaire is a native of East Texas having grown up in Lufkin. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011 with a Political Communications degree, where she also worked during the 82nd Legislative Session for Representative Jim Pitts. She graduated from South Texas College of Law in 2014 where she served as the Managing Editor of the Construction Law Journal and a law clerk for a local Houston firm. She graduated Cum Laude and received the CALI award for excellence in Education Law and American Legal History. Blaire joined the firm in the fall of 2014 as an Associate in the Houston office. She relocated to the Nacogdoches office in January 2017, returning to her roots to reside in Lufkin with her husband, Matthew.

Christopher C. Hughes (Of Counsel)
Christopher C. Hughes is a Nacogdoches native who graduated from Nacogdoches High School and went on to obtain his B.S. degree from Texas A&M University in Industrial Distribution. He obtained his law degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. During law school, Mr. Hughes clerked for past Texas Supreme Court Justice and current United States District Court Judge Xavier Rodriguez. After law school, Mr. Hughes joined the Nacogdoches law firm, Fairchild, Price, Haley & Smith, where he worked for five (5) years. Mr. Hughes has experience in handling all types of litigation, including but not limited to complex commercial litigation, entity dissolution, products liability, personal injury, oil and gas securities fraud, disputes surrounding groundwater contamination allegedly as a result of fracking activities, surface and mineral ownership disputes, easement disputes, wrongful death, insurance coverage disputes, probate/estate disputes, Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, breach of contract, deed restriction violations, medical malpractice, and Texas Medical Board disciplinary actions.
Mr. Hughes’ family partially owns and operates the Nacogdoches Livestock Exchange. Chris is married to Raechell Hughes, who works for Edward Jones Investments in Nacogdoches. Chris and Raechell recently welcomed their first child, Vivian, into the family, and are members of First Baptist Church in Nacogdoches.
